I'm trying to compile onto 2 (or maybe 3) DVDs all of The Rolling Stones' official promo videos since 1973; is there anything missing from the list below?

Also, is there a download link where I can find the 'Rough Justice' video in HD quality? I've only found it via YouTube so far (most of the other songs I have on various DVDs & VHS tapes, some several times). Thanks...

Just curious, why start with '73?

Why not start from the first video, whichever one that would be?

There are 3 very nice silver disc boots compiling all the Stones promo films to date. One of them is called Sucking In The 70s.

There are two STREETS OF LOVE videos:

1) The "mini-movie" version with young actors and drama (and that premiered on the soap opera Days of Our Lives!!)

2) The version that's 100% Stones performance, shot on the ROUGH JUSTICE set.

Because there were no videos for the latter 3 songs: they're TV appearances, not promotional videos. As far as I can recall the only pre GHS promo videos were Have You Seen Your Mother Baby (X2), Lady Jane, We Love You, 2000 Light Years From Home, Jumping Jack Flash (X2), Child Of The Moon... & these are all on a 4-DVD 1964-1969 set that I compiled a couple of years back.

Thank you. I think I only have the 2nd one.

I have these (certainly Sucking In The 70s), & the quality is variable to say the least (& the intros are often clipped / missing). That's why I'm compiling them myself from the best sources I have.

Really? Do you have links to both of these (also both Streets Of Love)?

there are two emotional rescue promo's as well. one is a full video version of the album cover shoot. the other is a mix of a conventional band setup and the thermographic photography.

There was also a video for "Following the River" as well as "Ruby Tuesday" off FLASHPOINT, "Wild Horses" off STRIPPED, and "Gimme Shelter" off NO SECURITY. Oh, and there was a "Sad, Sad, Sad" video in 1990.

Actually there are three "Emotional Rescue" videos. The first was the thermographic video. The second was a performance video with Bobby Keyes. The third is the hybrid of both versions (is severely edited) and was specially prepared for VIDEO REWIND in 1984.

I can't recall ever even hearing Following The River(?). I'll check it out though.

Are the 3 live videos just excerpts from At The Max / Stripped TV Special / St. Louis 97, or are they different in some way?

There's also promo videos for Let's Spend The Night Together and Ruby Tuesday (both filmed at Olympic Studios). I forgot about them.

Interesting. I still insist that 'Honky Tonk Women' & 'Gimme Shelter' weren't true promo videos though, as they were just filmed for particular TV shows ('Top Of The Pops' & 'Pop Goes The 60s' respectively) rather than for worldwide promotion.

I don't believe that "Ruby Tuesday" is the same as AT THE MAX. "Wild Horses" is an extract from the STRIPPED VH1 special. "Gimme Shelter" does not feature the Stones at all. It's an animated video. I thought it was something like a blackboard and gunplay. I saw it at the time, but all that sticks out in my head is a B&W cartoon with no concert footage.

OK, I'll include Ruby Tuesday (I'm pretty sure I have it on a DVD somewhere in good quality). Definitely can't recall the Gimme Shelter video though.

Does anyone have a link to the We Love You courtroom promo? I've only seen it once and liked it. I reckon that it was aired in the early 1980's and I've not seen it since.

I used to have it on VHS and Beta way back when. Lost all of that stuff. Don't know if it ever turns up on Youtube, but I'm sure it must be on one of the compilations. It was fairly common in collector's circles in the eighties and nineties.

Isn't this the version that fades out early? I can't recall off-hand (though I definitely also have the full version that was rebroadcast by the BBC in 1986).
