His ashes are sealed in the front column. From: [people.com]
Unseen to the public, the facade opens to reveal a miniature replica of Paisley Park’s grand atrium, including the singer’s signature purple Yamaha piano, white ornamental doves, working lights, and decorative tile floor.
My first reaction to this is what someone else said above, WTF? Then, knowing the ashes from a cremated body can fill up something the size of a cigar box, why this miniature mausoleum? And now, I wonder, will it be set up so that when you open it, it plays "Purple Rain"?
Vulgar display, IMO. But, time will tell whether this is what his fans want (travel to Mpls.? $$ tickets sold to Paisly Park) I was hiking the Sierra foothills and realized the purple sage bushes are flowering/ purple coming thru and grieved Prince a little more/ spun his tunes again. 'I'm hearing' (mimic Donald Trump, ha ha) that by Prince not leaving a will, his monies are actually going to go right where he wanted it to go, via some business re-arranging that started a few years ago...his sister Tyka on TV last week saying he told her 2 years ago he knew his time was ending. Personally, seeing urns is not my thing.
