I met her at a comic book convention once. She was gracious and classy.

Phyllis Coates was Lois Lane on the first season of Superman in the early 50s. She was hard boiled and the first season had a nourish quality to it. Then they took a hiatus, Phyllis found other work, they turned it into a kiddies show and Noel Neill was brought on board. A lovely woman but I prefer my Lois with edge.
