Any thoughts about this guy ? I've come to him via the Fare thee Well concerts, and the Dick's Picks series, and the Don Henley number End of the Innocence.

Love his music and what he did with Bonnie Raitt.

Great guy and pianist. I still listen to this one on Youtube once in a while. His big hit "The Way It Is" [www.youtube.com]

His stint with the GD seemed to reinvigorate Garcia for a short time. Glad I got to catch a fair amount of shows with him. I've seen him a ton with the noisemakers. They put on a great show. He is extremely talented. He is also coming out with a new album on the 17th. You can get an autographed copy of the vinyl for $20 on amazon. Check out his stuff with Ricky Skaggs, Great stuff. Don Henley's tune 'End of the Innocence' is possibly the only thing I like about Bruce Hornsby who co-wrote, co-produced, and played piano on it.
A tricky situation because I don't really like solo Don Henley - that song might be the only exception.

One of his influences is McCoy Tyner. One of the best ever.
