Tonight watching the movie from 1984 Beat Street, realized that one of the characters looked familiar. Sure enough--it's Bernard in his mid-20s.
I have tried 3 different ways and the video I am trying to post is not displaying--really sucks. I hope someday, after the tours, the video issue gets fixed :/
NOTE: please see the next post in this thread for Bernard singing a song cowritten by Paul Simon and Philip Glass.
Trying to post again---almost none of the text of post (above) displayed! Nor would the video below. Hope you can see it.
PART 2 -- Bernard/Paul Simon/Philip Glass -- "Changing Opinions"
Just discovered it was Bernard who sang one of the songs in the 1986 Philip Glass album, Songs for Liquid Days, which I adored and played the hell out of at the time. The song, "Changing Opinions" opens the album. The audio quality is muddy here--on the record it is crystalline clear--but his voice still rings out beautifully nonetheless. I cannot believe I never realized this was Bernard! attempt 1: [youtu.be]
Hi Rolling Hansie! Did you see both? I remember when the Philip Glass album came out wondering who the singer of "Changing Opinion" was. Can't believe after all these years realizing it's Bernard. I think it's beautiful.
