Stones book recommendations

Hoping someone can help me?

I'm looking for recommendations for a book which goes into detail on the songs of the Stones - i.e. what inspired the lyrics, where they were written, and recorded.

I've had a look on amazon, but it's not always easy to know which ones are best, so hoping some experts can point me in the right direction.

Thanks

James.

I think you'll do better with the Track Talk section of Ian McPherson's excellent site: [www.timeisonourside.com]
There's also a very worthwhile section on the songwriting, in the "themes" department.

THE ROLLING STONES - Das Weissbuch Recording Index 1961-2003 - Deiter Hoffman

As ya can see it only reaches 2003 ...a tad out of touch but still a goodun ...
