Good one. I remember buying that LP new around 1980. It has thin vinyl and record sleeve compared to the real London U.S. original pressing. Never saw a Decca copy. Probably like the guy said, they're in a warehouse.

Here's another clip of a guy bringing in a Ronnie Wood portrait.

Hard for me to pay attention. All I could focus on was the fact that the hair above their necks are exactly the same.

I did not know that George Lucas was a camera man during
the filming of the Gimme Shelter documentary.
At least that's what it said on the pop up credit during the pawn video.

I'd forgotten, but of course when they did the US Autumn 1969 tour they had no new product to market, which was unusual then.
LIB came out in the December, maybe their original plans fell behind schedule?
Of course the Decca/Klein thing at the time was, to quote Mick a "drag".

that was hysterical...amazed he bought it for 65, when the guy was trying to fleece him in the first place. so obvious it wasn't an original version of the promotional album.

i think i have 3 of these australian versions.

Well, they did release "Through The Past, Darkly" in Autumn 1969. New product if not new material.

Mint US version (RSD1) $1,500 maybe, mostly they are trashed and $750 top wack. You need a UK version (RSM1) to be worth more than $4,000, a mint one would run over $10,000.

Discogs.com has it highest at $80. If it's not more than that there it's over priced and someone's been bunked.

My iPhone app "Rolling Stones Games" says so as well. So I tend to believe.

Cheers, Fillmore

Not RSD1 or RSM1 for $80, you mean the Aussie one as featured in the clip. The difference is the Aussie one was sold to the public, the US and UK ones were genuine promos. The UK one being so, so much rarer due to many less copies being required because of the radio station set up in the UK verses the UK.

Thanks for replying there Matt...I was just about to post the same thing.

I did have a question regarding RSD1 vs RSM1. I understood that there were 200 pressings of each. Is that not the case? Did more US ones survive?

At first blush, it seems they would be equally 'scarce' but perhaps you have some additional info Matt?
