Do you think THE ROLLING STONES know Norman Watt-Roy is a(the) great(est) R&R bassplayer/performer (in the LONDON erea)?
smileys with beerJust thinking what a show it would have been if mister Watt-Roy had joined THE ROLLING STONES in 1994 or later...

This weekend I read Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll: The Life Of Ian Dury, a book by Richards Balls. On page 74 Shirley Watts is interviewed:
One time Blockhead Davey Payne was a member of The People Band in 1968/1970. Charlie Watts produced their album. The one with the pink elephant cover.
Also Ian Dury went to the same Art College as Shirley Watts in the 60's. They met at parties etc.
Interesting reading. Charlie and Shirley even send a bouquet to Ian Dury's funeral in 2000.
