RIP Michel Delpech (partially OT)

He was a french singer born in 46.
One of his songs "Quand j'étais chanteur" was a kind of "When i'm 64" by the Beatles.
He wrote (translation) :
My dear Cecile, i'm 73, i heard recently Mick Jagger passed away...
Funny in a way

Yeah he just "bought it" (the farm) while Jagger's readying for another tour/album.
Kinda ironic!

Michel Delpech looked as a good guy and did some good songs.
Ok, he dies before jagger but perhaps the song is not over.
Jagger could die at 76, all is still possible to respect the lyrics of the song.

I saw him once in a festival.
I was not vey enthusiastic but.. the songlist was perfect.
I thought I knew only two or three songs of him but I was wrong.
I knew each of them : les oies sauvages, les divorcés, chez Laurette, le loir et cher, quand j'étais chanteur, wight is white, etc.
At each song, I said to myself "I know this song, I had always loved it" whithout knowing he was the singer of it.

He was very simple during the concert, very smart, a gentleman acting like a singer and not like a big superstar. His voice and his singing were perfect and he seemed to like perform on stage.
One of my favourite concerts.

I had then understood how a great singer he was and how beautiful are his songs.

RIP Michel. You were great.
