O/T "Super Session" Al Kooper

Hi-- any love for this album out there ? This has been one of my "go to" albums forever....

Al Kooper, Mike Bloomfield and pre-CSN Steve Stills really put together a terrific set of music back in 1968---

The instrumental Blues on the first side really showcased Mike Bloomfields playing and Stills' work on side two was great, and Kooper, fresh off Blood Sweat and Tears, was in top form
"Season of the Witch", "It Takes a Lot to Laugh", the late night world-weariness of "Harvey's Tune" a splendid album for sure !

If you haven't heard it, I recommend it highly !

First heard this as a wee lad and was instantly a huge fan. Bill Wyman and Harvey Brooks became my bass mentors:

The album is great. Alas, Stills and Bloomfield, as I recall, do not play together on it. Stills was called in to replace Bloomfield when Bloomfield, for some reason, dropped out of the session. For those who dig Kooper and Bloomfield, look for their "Live Adventures" album from back in the day. Some trippy tunes, some great blues.
