Why should they ever do a thing like that? It would make no sense at all. MT´s & BW´s revenge for being treated so cruel by J/R? Who would be the singer, Bill????

This is never going to happen, Bill is not such a fool to create an instant failure. Btw, he´s got money enough. And he is old, in no time he will be 80.

MT maybe would do it in desperate need of money, but Bill would never be part of that. MT cannot afford a singer for his own band. When they money the Stones gave him for appearing as a guest in 2013-14 is spent, it´s welfare line for him. He can´t make a living as a musician anymore, on his own he is a total nobody. This may be sad, but that´s the way it is. Nobody is interested in him or his music, I saw him in the mid-90s playing to a tiny audience. It was humilating for MT. At the time the show was about to start, there were 40-50 people in the venue. The band waited another hour, hoping more people would show up. In the end they played to an audience of less than 100 people.

Such a cover-band would play in almost empty locations. No one wants to hear them play this iconic songs, they want them played by the Stones, everything else makes no sense and will only lead into total desaster, most of all commercially.

So possibilities are zero.

BW RKs always sell well and continue to be a popular attraction, he will never play do Stones music again.

Taylor's and Bill's contribution to the Stones at the time had more impact on their sound than the coverband they are these days. But tell me, is there any source or reason that made you bring up this thread? grinning smiley

It'd be interesting to see Taylor and Wyman play together...but not Stones 'covers'(a horrid idea).

the coverband they are these days.

Please stop calling them a "coverband" which of course they are NOT. Statements like these are offensive for both the Stones and their devotees. Reading such things I am hammering on my table, blushing with rage and anger. The Stones are not a coverband, they are still the Stones, today maybe even more than ever.

Taylor already has a Stones cover band. People see him live just to hear Sway, Winter, No Expectations, Little Red Rooster (yes, I'm aware this one is not a Stones original tune), etc.

With Bill in that band, maybe 10 people more would be in the audience.
Taylor is a sideman, not a leader, that´s the main reason for his total failure.
Regardless what he is playing hardly anybody shows interest. He is one of the most tragic figures in rock music. In the public´s eyes he has been dead for forty years. After that short stint as a Stones guest he is once again bound to drown in complete oblivion.

I've been to plenty to RKs gig and there is always a strong turnout, so Bill is quite a draw. You seem to harbour a quiet contempt for the former band members, I don't understand why...

Didn't Bill say one time that he didn't like Mick and Keith's tunes?

Sally has been his wife for several years now.

But HMS, your vitriol for past Stones members is a bit distasteful and misinformed, imo.

cant see taylor and wyman forming a band, bills happy in his personal life now and is not young now.

might start my own rumours though, what about the one that ed sheerin is going to replace jagger as stones lead singer and the spice girls reforming and doing backing singers to the stones.

talking of rumours anyone remember the one that terrance trent derby was going to replace jagger in the stones, that had me very worried.
