It's difficult enough to come up with a list of favorite Stones tracks if you're fan, even a casual fan could run into issues. But do you feel their are any obvious Stones songs that you would rate as some of the best songs ever recorded? Obviously, not everyone on here is going to be familiar enough with every genre or artists ever, but which Stones songs or song, would you feel most comfortable placing in the top 50 all time lists of recorded songs? It doesn't need to be a signature track, but also, try to be as genuine as possible and not let the fan in you assume too much about Stones songs.

Some of the ones that I often hear mentioned are Gimme Shelter, Sympathy for the Devil and Paint it Black.

For me, with the overall production and redemptive lyrics, I lean towards
You Can't Always Get What You Want.
