Interesting OT story on the Hollywood Palladium. The big musical final part of the film THE BLUES BROTHERS (3 or 4 songs) was shot there (I was an audience extra, way up front. So I'm 100% positive). In the film they say it's Chicago but that's typical Hollywood movie bull sh*t. Check out the movie for a very detailed look of the Palladium to compare with Stones shots. I think the vinyl bootleg of the Stones Palladium show (quality so-so) has an accurate shot of the show.
A friend of mine was at that '72 Palladium gig and he says that they were on fire and that the applause went on for 20 minutes after they left the stage.
Quote hbwriter checked the field guide clothing chart - looks like winterland - god I love this site
1) Winterland didn't have a chandelier 2) Winterland didn't have a curtain 3) Winterland had a lighting truss w\the Super Trooper lights 4) Winterland had the mylar mirror wh. pivoted
I saw closeup b\w pics of this show in the mid seventies. Lucky me!!
