IORR will be taken down for maintenance & upgrade during an hour or so today/tonight, i.e. within the next 24 hours. This is due to meeting the increasing performance demand. Speed and uptime is priority one with IORR technically.

Technically the issue is related to the number of simultaneous connections. If you get the error message while posting then use "BACK" on your browser and try posting one more time. Or just copy your text and try posting later. Also, try a refresh in your browser. This is related to the forum only. The editorial parts of IORR i.e. all of the News etc are always up and running, they don't go through the database.

PS. Thanks to my son and "invisible" IORR assistant for keeping IORR up and running almost non-stop for 20 years now. Still counting. It is hard work.

I am often getting a message: The database connection failed. Please check your database configuration in include/db/config.php. If the configuration is okay, check if the database server is running.


Anyone else getting this? The only way I was able to access Tell Me was through a back door link from the home page.

Ok, thanks for posting folks. We have been having connectivity issues where I live and thought it might be from my end. But sounds like this is a IORR server issue. Maybe cyber-attacks?

I've had the eroor occur over the last week on and off, I assumed some upgrades were being made... then earlier today I noticed that my browser spell check started working here... hmmm but now it is not...

It's all just server issues with the hosting. I am sure BV has backups in place incase it continues.
