A friend of mine who lives in the UK - Glastonbury no less - tells me that on June 26th Bill Wyman is selling 2 of his special motor cars.

One is a Mercedes 250SEL first registered by Bill in 1966 and sold later. Bill subsequently bought it back and had it restored. I've seen this car, and it's sweet!

There's also a Citroen SM was used when he was in France, brought back to the UK in 1980 and not driven since. He has had it recommissioned. It is a cracker with 45,000 kilometres recorded on the clock, totally unmolested and original. They were amazing cars with a Maserati engine and way ahead of their time. All were built with left hand drive.

Both cars will be offered at Bonham’s Goodwood Festival of Speed sale on 26 June.

Premier League predictions: Lawro v ex-Rolling Stone Bill Wyman


BBC Sport's football expert Mark Lawrenson is pitting his wits against a different guest each week this season.

Bill Wyman has been a Palace fan for 68 years after going to his first game at the age of 10

Lawro's opponent for this weekend's Premier League fixtures is former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman.

Wyman is a Crystal Palace fan and first watched the Eagles with his father when they were in Division Three South.

He will be making his predictions on Friday.

Why would Bill do this? He's gonna hate public transit...I bet he buys a car again someday...

Citroën SM, stuff of legends and a bad rep it certainly didn't deserve especially as far as gas consumption went, Peugeot killed it to launch the rather pedestrian 604...

Anyway, is that actually Wyman's SM ?

He may buy a car someday...but at 78 he won't be doing much driving for much longer!
