"Sticky Fingers" LP (70s) - 'American release'...?!

A friend of mine is in France right now;
in a record shop he stumbled upon a "Sticky Fingers" album with the zipper, on an all black & white sleeve (so no red title print).
Vinyl comes out of the side, not at the top.

Shop owners claims it's "the USA-edition"...

Anybody familiar with that? Is it rare?
My market value as a collector is worth ...well, 'zip';
just like my knowledge about catalogue values etc.

What would be a good/ fair price for this item?

I'll try & post a picture of it, if he can go & make one, today or tomorrow.

Cheerz for all y'r feedback!

...and P.S.: sorry to those of you who expexcted 'breaking news' or 'insiders knowledge' about a possible upcoming 2015 release! winking smiley I tried to adjust the thread title more according to my question.

Have a look on [www.discogs.com] - there are 153 versions of 'Sticky Fingers' releases listed ....

In the upper left corner you can see pictures of the Cover - under this is often a link 'More Images' for further pictures of the LP/CD/MC.

Cheerz, Treacles!

You mean: plain white, with no imprint? Or just white, with nfo printed on it?
