Well, I have to be honest.

CS Blues is a bad song.
I know it was made to offend Decca, but come on...
The song itself is a bad minor-blues, which didn't even could make a decent b-side. The reason it never got released are of course it's offending nature.
But has anyone ever considered it never got released because it's just a bad song?

P.S. I know it was released in West Germany in 1983 for a brief period, but that doesn't count!

No, it's funny and great singing by Mick. I prefer the pure slow version.

I think there are two versions. I like the slow one with the simple chord picking. Mick sings great on it, the guitar sounds nicely smooth, it's a blues without being too obvious, with a real melody and structure.
They should play it live.

It is a simple song, Stones music at their best is simple music (but try to play it by yourself and see what happens), insofar it is a good song.

Technically it's a single. And it was the "last", not "lost", single they owed.

Every time I go to look for it, I find a different version. The original I had was really long and tedious. Then there was an acoustic version. Anybody know how many CS Blues there are?

The acoustic one is the original as far as I know. There's one recorded during the SOME GIRLS tour rehearsals that's 23 million minutes long.

that's actually just a slowed down version of the original. if you put it on your turntable and spin it really fast with your finger, you'll see what i mean.
