Mr. Bruce was backed by a couple of horn players, keyboards, drums and guitar which allowed him free rein to pluck away like it was still 1966.

It's pretty impossible not to smile and enjoy it when he plays into the high registers on his bass and then miraculously 'appears' at the bottom end of the scale to continue on upwards again, and when the improvising is over he is back to wherever he should be in the song: my description is hopeless I know but if you heard it you'd get it right away!

The highlight was a surprise to me...not the obvious crowd pleasers like 'Sunshine...' or 'White Room' but 'We're Going Wrong': this was just sublime. It probably goes without saying that the guys with him were all talented musicians- we know that Jack doesn't suffer fools, to put it mildly, hah-hah!
Mind you, the old goat did sign my set-list...God bless you! Recommended.
