SH's album doesn't put ANYTHING in the shade, unfortunately. It turned out to
be not much more than Alfie part 2. Because it was WAY too much a Stewart-
Jagger production. Dave is very talented, but he's no force to be reckoned
with, as Keith was.

The potential for SuperHeavy (which is still there) is as a Jagger-Marley
production. If those two ever share the helm, and hammer shit out between them
the way Jagger and Richards used to, then you would almost certainly wind up
with something killer.

So there it is. My New Year's wish for the world.

Hopefully they're just recycling some old crap...Stewart really has Mick locked into that thing! Guess they agreed on that after he let him use the "Oh no not you again" title...

Almost certainly yes, almost certainly this documentary is just the story of
the first album, which will be fascinating, but has nothing to do with now.

But let's all hope they've been working in secret on that rumored second album,
and that this film is part of the lead-up to that.

I don't get it.. I really don't. SuperHeavy didn't make any waves. Nothing. It died on impact. Who thinks a documentary is a good idea on this one? Sure, big names, but there were plenty in Magical Mystery Tour, doesn't make for a good film.

Isn't this like watching a full length documentary on a one-hit-wonder from the 80s?

SuperHeavy's first album was a worldwide #1, without any promotional gigs,
and without doing any business in the US and not much in the UK. That's
impressive.

It did not die, it was killed. For some reason first Damian and then Mick
walked away from it. The two key players.

I'm not saying it would have been huge otherwise. You can't have a huge album
anymore without a huge single, but it would have been somewhat a sensation if
they chose to fill stadiums in Mumbai and Kingston and Buenos Aires, which
they could have easily done.

And could still do tomorrow if they so chose. Damian's and AR's fan bases
are HUGE and loyal. Outside the US and UK, Mick is also more than welcome
even without the Stones.

Seeing that there is no second album it's not really about the 'first' album is it. In the end it will be about the only album. And let's all hope it remains that.

Everything Mick Jagger puts his name on will sell. At least for a short moment. He can put his name on a turd and millions will buy it. The real test is: Will it still sell after six weeks or so?

I thought it was an interesting project. And I personally loved the record. It was very different from the things the Stones does, which is why I think the whole project was worthwhile. Jagger wanted to do something different. I feel sorry for those who thinks that Jagger only should be doing Stones music. And I feel sorry for Keith who is obviously being so lost in his musical past.

Is this a competition or something? You like Wingless Angels - good for you. But why other people can't like SH (and maybe simultaneously Wingless Angels too)
This way you express some kind of perverted loyalty to your hero Richards?

That is beyond prepondrrous! You recall what happened to Goddess In The Doorway? Really - almost nobody bought it, espeially the day it came out. 954 copies in the UK on its first day! That is beyond incredible demand!

If everyone that wants it has bought it within 6 weeks, I say the answer is no.

SH has tweeted: "Due to a couple of unforeseen technical problems the Superheavy
Documentary is now going up next Wednesday at 6pm"

And then added on to the tweet a few minutes later: "It'll be worth the wait"

SH had their original jam session in 2008. That means this is their FIFTH
ANNIVERSARY!!! So all kinds of special things are planned for this year...

Besides the documentary:

A full color brochure!

A new 30-second jingle!

And a full twenty minute live show in Dave Stewart's apartment!

Its gonna be great.

A veto by Mick? I mean what's the point of keeping that SH thing going? The "we were asked to play at the Olympics" stories were pathetic enough. Mick always being number driven probably doesn't want to have anything more to do with that thing that bombed big time.

Having said that I remember that when SH was first mentioned it was supposed to be an ongoing project by Dave Stewart with a revolving cast...but I suppose that without Mick who now has other fish to fry no one give a rat's a*s about DH's project.

Sounds GRRRRReat!
