Never heard of this before either.
Apparently it was a short-lived radio series from that year that did 1-hour profiles on the big names from that time, which apparently did 30 episodes from January to July (31 if you count the one on The Stones that never aired), and the demos are presented on disc. You can hear the vinyl crackling in that YouTube clip, and the voices and the music are being played at an odd speed, slightly sped up.

It's listed on the Nico Zentgraf database as having been recorded on January 26 in Los Angeles, and so was intended as one of the early episodes of the series. No info on why it didn't air.

It's amusing early on in the interview when Mick mentions how he missed his adolescence because he "worked so hard", when in reality he was already 20 when the band even started. He considered himself, at 21, to be still in his adolescence--which he still hasn't left behind really....
