Mick in GQ MAGAZINE fashion spread (November, 1983 issue)

I ran across this back issue in a library. I wasn't too familiar with this library and where the copy room was, and I was facing a parking fine `cause I was already late getting back to my car, so just snapped these quickly with my smartphone, so you can't read some of it, unfortunately....(Among the unreadable fashion credits are Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein and Alexander Julian (suede jacket) and designers I'd never heard of.)

The 1980's wasn't a great decade for Mick Jagger and fashion.

Gotta love him. Gay as ever.

The shoes in the last photo are described as "driving shoes." Those Stones and their funny shoes. Everything he's wearing has a price shown that would be fairly expensive in today's dollars, much less 1983 (except I think the pants in the series of the same outfit weren't too bad). I love the sweater in the first shot.

Aside from the stage-outfits, I have no idea how Jagger dressed in the 1980's, but I cannot imagine him wearing the clobber he's modelling here.

True, but that has a timeless elegance about it. I guess GQ is like that anyway.
