"Maybe Clegg, 46 was looking for some Emotional Rescue and was hoping the Coalition will Not Fade Away."

You may wonder why Sir Michael has those political meetings with blimpish right wing politicians from time to time. You would think that The Commander as a dedicated tax evader should stay away from politics...

It must be a slow news day in the UK. I'm not sure having dinner with the UK equivalent of Joe Biden is exactly hot news, even as a gossip item.

Slow news days or not - why does Sir Michael have all those meetings with right wing politicians? That is the question. Maybe he is up for a Tory cabinet minister position?

Clegg isn't a Conservative, he's a Liberal Democrat, which is a centrist third party. He has his deputy PM role due to no party having enough votes for a parliamentary majority, so they have a coalition government. If Mick keeps meeting politicians and thinks he has any influence, it would be interesting to know exactly what it is he's lobbying for.

Tax cuts, maybe? Thanks for the info, Marianna. Didn't know Clegg was a LD. Maybe that's why Sir Michael accepted the invitation? Maybe he doesn't want to be too associated with the Tories?
