Just curious...also do all shows at the park use the same area? Would be cool if someone could show the '69 positioning on a map of the park.

The '69 stage was right in front of the Serpentine, so no, it's not in the same area.

Would be great to see the two concert areas (1969, 2013) on a new Hyde Park map.
Can somebody help us?

Well here's this year's official map so based on comments I guess the 1969 stage was on the "roundabout" at the corner of the Serpentine/Gate 15 ?

The 1969 Hyde Park concert took place in the cockpit, the stage was around where the red arrow is pointing to in this photo. The modern day concerts take place in that large area on the right with lots of paths.

Is this years stage at the same place as the stage Bruce Springsteen played on in 2009 (Hard Rock Calling Festival)? Or is that a different festival situated on a different place in the park?

All the concerts in recent years have been in the same area as this year - the largest space in the park with no trees in the way.

Great post, always wondered the same myself. Everytime I go there I try to imagine where the stage was in '69. I knew it was different to now though.

1969, the trees were too close to the stage, so the biggest part of the audience were on the sides :

Does some people who were there in 1969 plan to go in 2013 with the same haircut ?
