All Down The Line - acoustic version - question.

This outtake has been circulating for many years yet it's always sounded to me like there is a skip at the beginning just at the 11 second mark. Has anyone come across a version without the skip?

the version that ciruclated for many years ran way too fast. somebody finally speed-corrected it a few years ago.

Mine skips, but I love it. It's got such a groove. I wish they could play something with that kind of groove nowadays. It's just so slinky.

Why didn't they put this on the Exile reissue? Or rather, why didn't Don Was put it on?

I guess because the electric demo had been unbooted. The acoustic demo is one of my favorite things they've ever done. I prefer both demos to the album track.

Wonder if it would/ will make a SF re-issue. It is like T M and originates from those sessions.

Maybe they, for the most part, wanted to avoid the tracks that were already out thereon boots.

Maybe because it's nearly the same record as Street Fighting Man.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great demo but they are doing virtually the same things as SFM, Charlie has that (great) eccentric beat thing going and Keith is going his acoustic SFM slashing.
