Question about cover picture

This seem to be limited edition of Hot Rocks 1 & 2 for the Netherlands only (RSB 820 140-2, mid 90s, I guess)

Pardon my stupidity... Can anybody clue me about the picture used for paper sleeve? Looks like Beggars Banquet photo session. I remember it from back cover of LP Through The Past Darkly, made in Czechoslovakia in the beginning of 80s...

Isn't it from the last session with Brian Jones, may 69?

Yup - from the Ethan Russell shoot.

It was taken at St. Katherine's Dock, London by Ethan Russel during the sessions that produced the cover for "Through The Past Darkly".

Ltd Edition no. 4302? Exactly how "limited" was this edition?

According to Andre Verhoeven's Page (think it is dead now or infected)

***********

Also in the early 90’s in Holland the Hot Rocks issue was released in a special limited edition paper box which is numbered up to 10.000 however the most boxes has been thrown away while the CD’s were sold separately. For this issue the Hot Rocks 1 German issue was used (3rd pressing modern logo) and the Hot rocks 2 German issue (6th pressing old logo). Box ordernumber is RSB 820140-2 .

This version was done by PhonoGram Holland, to promote the Rolling Stones Singles Collection 3 CD box.

Nowadays this issue is a rare and is hard to find. Value is about $ 75.-
