The Rolling Stones are once again throwing open the chance for fans to vote for a song of their choice, as By Request… goes live once again.

Fans can choose from a shortlist of five songs, selected by the band, but not currently part of the set list. The band will then play the winning song during the concert on May 8th in San Jose.

The vote, which is open now in the Official Rolling Stones mobile app, runs until midday (PST) on the day of the San Jose concert and the band will play the winning song live that night.

A second vote will open in the app on May 9th giving fans the chance to vote for a song to be played at the Las Vegas concert on May 11th.

That's the version from the London November show last year it seems, I really don't like it, lounge music to my ears...HTF can he play it like that when the Stones still nail it like it's 1968. The version they played at the Bondy public rehearsal was phenomenal, still shudder when I think of it, what I'd give to be back there...

ha! Yes this is true but I was thinking of what his slide would bring to it. It could have been anyone playing with Keef on IYCRM..it's all about his riff.

Though I also realize MT playing on any more than 1 song is a longshot.

Geez, I'm really torn between No Expectations and When the Whip Comes Down. No Expectations so we can see more of MT. And WTWCD because this rocks and would be great live.

Right on, there don't even know what good tunes they have besides these

nothing on that list we haven't heard before....fool to cry popped up here in there on voodoo and no security.....at least put a song on there that we've actually been asking for.......they just won't take any chances......it's a shame b/c they can pull off so many different things and just refuse to do it.

it's become the unofficial theme for fans of the band anyway, right?

I hope they have a completely different list for Vegas, meaning Fool To Cry is no chance of being played. Each to their own, but personally I can't stand it. Keith wouldn't be the only to fall asleep before it is finished.

I'd vote for When The Whip Comes Down out of those San Jose options.
