OT: Can anyone identify the tracks on this album

I was given a white label promo album recently. It is an Atlantic Records promo sampler for radio stations. The labels say Atlantic Sampler Rock and Atlantic Sampler Blues (no sleeve and nothing else).

I have identified the first two tracks as -

Jonathan Edwards - Sunshine
Cactus - Evil (Is Going On)

I guess that this is from around 1971 or so. Anyone know anything about this album, perhaps have a copy and can let me know the rest of the tracks.

cheers
andy

All I can do is pass on some information from my kids... Apparently there is an "app" for cell phones (possibly a website for PC use) where you can just play a sample of a song and the app will then tell you what song is being played. Note: I have not used said app and can't actually vouch for it's abilities. Just might be worth a google search or app store search to see if there's some new technology which you can help you more than some old message board members! Good Luck!

Peace,
Mr DJA

Thanks. I did get the details of those 2 tracks by using some detective work of my own (lyric search etc) but it took me quite a while. All of the tracks are fairly obscure on this LP (no Yes, Zep, CSNY etc). I will persevere and get there in the end.

Thanks for the app idea.

I have one that's called "The New Age of Atlantic" released in 1972

....also a sampler which contains America by Yes and Hey Hey What Can I Do by Led Zep also songs by Cactus, Jonathan Edwards etc. but not the songs that you mentioned.

Yeah, I've seen this in action and it's way cool. Don't know the name though.

There are a few apps for this. I use Shazam - it's free and I'm pretty sure it's the best one. Good luck!
