You have failed, pathetically...the word 'sheila' is used in Australia, not in New Zealand, Colonial's home.

Same with 'cobber' and 'g'day'.

Sorry Rockman...I was being facetious...if you've ever watched Seinfeld, there's an episode where he's trying to sound Irish, and the person he's trying to fool says, well, you sound Scottish, and Seinfeld's reply is, "yes well, we lived on the border".

Beautiful in it's stupid simplicity....unfortunately I just sounded stupid.

They used to sell Foster's in Canada, which I thought was good...I think they started importing it as a result of the Croc Dundee movies in the 80s.

Whatever happened to Paul Hogan anyway?

You know, what I appreciate most about this ridiculous thread is that 16 postings in, no one has even bothered answering the question.

Irony and sarcasm travel so badly across the net...NZ and Aus are no more connected by a harbour bridge than the US and Britain are.

Favourite 'sheila'? You are asking me, as a woman, which woman associated with the RS I most admire?

L'Wren Scott.

No, I did not click.

L'Wren is an ideal woman. She is creative, talented, intelligent, tasteful, hardworking, charming, discreet and beautiful.

Oops !

In North America, 'Oops' is known more properly as 'Doh!'

Really ?
I had never heard an American saying "Doh !" instead of "Oops" !
Do you mean that "Opps" is used by English people ?
In the numerous American series I watch daily, the characters always say "oops!" when someone drops something or makes a mistake

I thought that "Doh !" was an exclamation of annoyance when something goes wrong.

Actually, I was sardonic in the post you quote above.
Because I find this kind of thread useless -no offense mean -when there was already one called "With which Stones ladies would you like to sleep" a few weeks ago .
So I used the verb to b***k on purpose ,I DID know it's an explicit word not usually mentioned in polite company......

You get the picture ?smiling smiley

I am a Frenchie ,as Mick affectionately called them in the Old Grey Whistle Test in 1977 .
