possibilities about recording sessions after last Hyde Park show

According the last Keith declaretions, they wanna make new music and a new studio album, also Mick said that he has many new songs and has demoing his new stuff.Keith has also said that the best time for a band is once they've been on the road a while so they're hot, and that they'll think about that...So, it's possible that they could start recording sessions in the studio some weeks after the last Hyde Park show having a new studio album ready in spring 2014?!A BV comment should be welcome!

I want a new album. Just get the sonic tone correct to start with and lots of warm loud guitars.

Go Dawgs!

BV has mentioned, in the "no southern us shows stones 2013 tour" thread, that there is to be a "pt. 2 tour in USA later this year".

So it seems that they are planning on extending the 50 & Counting tour throughout 2013. I wouldn't be surprised if they plan an international leg for the first part of 2014 as well.

It doesn't appear there will be a new album anytime soon. From his recent comments, Mick seems to have conceded that a new album is not what fans want.

No, it wont happen, because.................
they will tour South America in December-january. Spring 2014 europe, all over.
In august 2014 they will be finished with the tour, and they need to rest for 5 years.

So,...the new album wont happen before summer 2019.

I wonder why they need to spend months at a time in a single recording studio to record a new album. They should do it the way they used to--while on tour. Remember that clip from Muscle Shoals from the Gimme Shelter movie? They could record tracks as they progress through the current tour, one or two tracks at a time here and there until they have a complete album, while they're live chops are hot.

But, of course, they probably haven't even thought of recording while touring....

No more new material until the "100 Licks" tour of 2062.

Maybe they don't feel they have the energy on tour to do anything but the stage work. But it's interesting. They travel in this hermetically sealed bubble, but they never seemed to consider having recording equipment be part of that. It might require Mick & Keith not to get to separate limos as fast as possible to get far away from each other. If they're just going to slam bang together some Keith/Chuck Berryish crash boom bam c-sides, then who needs it? Like One More Shot was.

I know everyone decries them making a blues album, but it sure wouldn't hurt to do a few blues cuts. It doesn't have to be one cut. They've earned the right to do what they want. We're all going to dig out our favorite tracks anyway. They shouldn't worry too much about making a coherent, cohesive artistic statement like they used. Just great songs, in variety. With better bass.

Let´s be realistic: they probably have other things to do.

Come on, we can bully those old farts into turning us on one more time. Scratch away the years of tarnish and buff out those preachers that shouted the blues to the world. The serpent is eating its tale and we've come full circle. Old wood is hard wood. Squeeze those last Robert Johnson/Jimmy Reed notes on the night train pulling into Dartford Station for one more mystery.

A new record means a new tour...

They could record in London between the two Hyde Park shows. Perhaps an album of Beatles covers at Abbey Road.

That would require inspiration, collaboration & camaraderie, and that ship sailed a long time ago.
