Just read former Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr passed away from MS. He was with them for their first 3 albums, leaving after Number of the Beast in 82. Only 56 years old.

He was great! Get one of the 1982 Jap shows and you'll be in awe!

That´s sad, a great drummer.

Listen to Hallowed Be Thy Name.

Saw Maiden in Vancouver in 82 when they opened for Scorpions. They did an autograph session that afternoon at a local record store so I got my Number of the Beast album autographed by all the band. Not a huge crowd at the Coliseum, perhaps 5000 but I remember the crowd was really loud for Maiden. Bruce Dickenson said the only way to describe the crowd was that it was the closest to their hometown audience that they've played to!
