"The opening-night concert became legendary, drawing a star-studded audience that included Mick Jagger, Carly Simon and Stevie Wonder, who took to the stage for a jam session with the night’s featured headliner, the New Orleans R&B artist Dr. John"

WHO hoardes the tape? >grinning smiley<

Neil Young's 1974 show at this place is worth your consideration too... winking smiley

A Night With Lou Reed [DVD, 59 minutes] was filmed at The Bottom Line in 1983--with Andy Warhol in the audience. A tight, hard-rocking set with Lou accompanied by Robert Quine on guitar.

Saw David Johansen and the Harry Smiths there in '99. Great show and it was cool to be in such a hallowed venue.
