I thought this would be a helpful thread if anyone wonder where some Stones related pictures are taken or who the photograhper is etc...

Well, I wounder on this one, a masterpice of a picture, but I don't know where this was taken? Does anybody know it?

Yup, R, you'reright...but the hair is too short.

That is a good picture. Wonder if there are any higher resolution copies out there.

fairly certain that this one was hawaii '73 (not rotterdam). certain it is by robert knight....and i know he lived in...and shot the Stones in hawaii (1973).

Was gonna say pretty much the same thing. I don't think it's so bad, but it sure looks much like his hairdo in '89. He looked cooler on the '72 tour and later in '73, IMHO. But I like how they changed their hair every now and then.

Yeah, that sure ain't Rotterdam '73. Mick J's hair is too short, Charlie's is waaay too long (he cut it short before the European tour of '73) and Keith's hair is too short/thin as well (already by the '73 Euro press conference in the Netherlands, his hair was much thicker).

So it's NY - 1972, not LA session when they recorded TMC.It makes sense 'couse Lennon produced Too Many Cooks not played guitar on it like on the photo.
I wonder if there any records from this NY session

I have a boot from the session w/ John and I love " Too Many Cooks"...I wonder why Mick never released it on his own...I bet Yoko wouldn't let him.

it was released on The Best of Mick Jagger.Yoko is not guilty, the master tape has been lost for a very long time.

Definitely the best Jagger hair ever.
I liked the 75 long, sexy hair, but the shorter do in 73 brought out his boyish handsomeness. This is in no way like the 89 hair - where it was cropped on top...
This one has balance.

with Lenny Kaye but what year and where?

Don't know about the pic, but the Hawaii shows were not the Nicaragua benefit -- that was at the LA Forum about the same time.

As sweet neocon's noted, that's Honolulu 73, and Robert Knight took it;
and as Rokyfan's noted, the Honolulu shows (January 20th & 21st)
were not the Nicaragua Benefit (January 18th 1973 at the LA Forum).
