Rolling Stones named one of Top 50 WWE Moments of 2012

#23 The Rolling Stones team with WWE to say farewell

It was, perhaps, the musical event of a generation. When arguably the greatest
rock band in history, The Rolling Stones, announces there’s just one more go
’round before all the tours are over, the world watches and listens.

So when the legendary band set a date for their last live concert, tickets
literally sold out in minutes.

The very last of the Rolling Stones 50th anniversary shows took place at the
Prudential Center on Saturday, Dec. 15, but good luck finding a ticket inside
the building! Not to fear, though, as the worldwide leader in pay-per-view
events came to the rescue. Teaming with The Stones, WWE provided fans around the
world with the best seat in the house, as the unforgettable show took place
live on pay-per-view.

I would be remiss if I did not mention another of the WWE's greatest moments of
2012, the return of Chris Jericho!

Jericho is WWE's six-time world champion, having won the WWF Championship once, the
WCW/World Championship twice and the World Heavyweight Championship three times. He
is also a record nine-time Intercontinental Champion, and the fourth WWE Grand Slam
Champion.

Outside of wrestling, Jericho formed the band Fozzy, in 1999, as their lead
vocalist. Their eponymous debut album (2000) and Happenstance (2002) consist of
cover songs and original music; All That Remains (2005), Chasing the Grail (2010)
and Sin and Bones (2012) feature all-original music. He also competed in the 2011
series of Dancing With the Stars, lasting until the sixth week. Prior to this, he
hosted the ABC game show, Downfall.

Here's what Chris tweeted the night of the Stones ppv:

"Love the Stones PPV on I’m Goin Down when Mayer, Clarke, Wood go nuts w solos
& Keith plays 10 notes and takes em all downtown to Chinatown"

"Let me just say that @MickTaylorInfo is the SHIT! Best Rolling Stones
guitarist EVER!!

I'm sorry,
but this is just disturbing on so many fronts.

I could care less regarding the Stones connection to WWE. Actually the PPV was a great idea for Stones fans who could not attend the 12/15 Newark show due to cost, distance and/or work schedule(s). Now if any WWE wrestlers were actually on stage or filmed during any of the PPV concert that truly would have been disturbing on so many fronts....
