Around ten years ago, I was flipping channels on the tv and discovered a new guy named John Mayer. Finally someone new that I thought was really good got my mtv attention. And around thirty years ago, I was in a small club in NYC a saw a distinctive guitar player named Brian Setzer in an average band, and I knew it was one of those times when you're seeing and hearing a future star.

Anyway, I was flipping through tv stations recently and I paused for a moment at a show called "The Voice". Mind you, I totally hate these kinds of shows... American Idol, Britain's Got Talent, etc... But when I heard this guy, I could tell he's different. I could hear that he's a great and original-sounding soulful singer. Keep your eye on this guy...

Are you implying that in 10 to 30 years from now he'll duet with Mick on Gimme Shelter? ><

I love finding new artists that deliver the goods. The jury is still out on Mr. David but this fellow Joe Bonamassa has got me pretty excited. His guitar playing is superb and his tones really tasty.

This one is pretty simple, Joe doing a Chris Whitley tune that shows just what a great singer he is too! peace
