Was Saturday Night The Last Time We Will See Stones On PPV?
Date: December 19, 2012 03:16

Wasn't the last time prior to Saturday night the HBO concert ten years ago in 2003? Since I don't attend concerts anymore it just dawned on me that Saturday night might be the last time I see the Stones perform live. That makes me a little sad. Seems so final. Well, if so, I guess I should rejoice in the fact that they delivered such a great show to go out on. Wish PPV covered all their concerts.

To bad they couldn't work out a deal with WWE to televise all their concerts.

Cockroaches and Keith Richards will be here after

So predict when we see them again on PPV. The sooner the better, I am no spring chicken.

Me? predict what the Stones will do? Ha! I stopped doing that back in 94.... The Stones are going do what they are going do, and it is up to us to stick around to see what happens... as I read in an interview back in... sometime.... and the interviewer asked Mick "will this be the last tour for the Stones?" ... and Mick answered "It might be the last time for someone, you can never tell when someone is going to get hit by a bus." I quote that, but it is not an exact quote, but it is close tothat and from a Rolling Stone Mag interview, I think the one for Voodoo lounge, I think I recall Keith talking about the cat, and how Wyman was the engine that fell off, in that one too.

The pay-per-view chronology...

Hampton 1981
Atlantic City 1989
Miami 1994
St. Louis 1997
MSG 2003 (HBO, not really "pay-per-view" )
Newark 2012

That's six in about 30 years...averaging one every five years.

So the next one will be during their "Ol' '55" tour in 2017!

Sincerely,
Tom Waits

Anyone have MSG's event schedule for January? Just curious what dates are open.

Copacabana was broadcast everywhere but Domestic USA, GLOBO TV did it, and they were on in Canada...

Also South Africa 95, Rio 95 and Saitama Super Arena, Japan....

They'll do it again for sure

Yup, we've missed out on all those here in the USA - thank goodness for bootleg DVDs!
