Which just proves the axiom that nobody's perfect...

I suppose he did, but I've only become familiar with that information reading it here now and again.

So question... Is there an interview online or can be referenced where Ian Stewart says that? An audio or video?

Please don't let this be something that came from Keith.

Good point. Who is the source for this possibly acpocryphal story, Chuck?

No he's the left keyboard player, there isn't one on the right.

It's been dicussed many many times before, but as a musician I can clearly see his importance for the Stones.

He counts off a lot of the songs for the right tempo. He gives cues for endings etc.

I saw Jagger looking at him quite a few times: Is this allright?? Then he nodded yes.

He makes the band feel safer on stage and he's always very well prepared.

Apart from that I think he's a silly lumberjack with a beard!! haha!

This may have been true prior to 1989.

no, but i'd like some insight into why there aren't more violins in stones music anymore...

seriously, though...chuck is an incredible musician...he can do anything mac or stu or nicky could...and more. that's why he's got the gig...pure and simple.

Is that a major requirement to be in the band?

Yes Chuck has proved his worth with the Stones. I don't hear any complaints about his playing at the O2 shows. He plays very very well and compliments the music, imho. Besides he gets along with Mick and strokes the egos to allow all to feel good and play their best. peace

it wasn't for either guitar player on recent tours...not sure why it would apply for the piano guy...

I set you up perfectly....my only disappointment was that it took you so long to close the loop. With that said, nice close. Where is the RIMSHOT when we need it.

Max?!

Yeah he can count to four. That's what I got from the thread so far.

Mick and keith like him there so it's a non-issue as it has been for years and years.

His playing has no soul. If he's back in the mix, which he appears to be now, his playing is tolerable. The more you hear it, the more annoying he is.
