This 1999 Euro-metal version by the Acid Drinkers is about as up-tempo as the song can be driven, and is brought across with a great deal of character as well.

Good cover band. Their version of "The Spider & The Fly" is nice as well.

Yes, they really keep to the basics of the original sound. Their cover of The Kinks is great as well.

They all suck.......because they try to make a copy....this is the best one

I have to go with Devo as well. One of my favorite bands, even though their de-evolution, although apparently part of the plan, is frustrating to watch. I mainly just listen to the first 3-4 albums and the great live and rarities stuff that's been released.

They really made the song their own, I sometimes forget it's even a cover.

Jerry Lee Lewis made a decent fist of it in 1973 at the London Sessions, but it went unreleased for 15 years.
