I think the November shows in Brooklyn and London are not happening

looks like early 2013 (3-23 and 3-30 to start)
at the O2 arena
is when they will start the shows
most likly a handfull of shows in a few selected major cities
london
boston
new orleans
Las Vegas
Los angeles
seattle
something like that
five or more shows in each city
but less than 10 cities
so looks like alot of us will be traveling

yes.its been there for some time.

They seem to be the only people - including the band - who know about it.

Its not the first time a listings site has put a non-existent concert date up, and probably wont be the last.

I realize the "buy tickets button" is not yet taking you to a ticket vendor
but I also have been using songkick for a few years to track bands and get tickets
never have know them to put up a concert/venue listing that is bogus.
the tickets are not yet available for purchase
the shows are booked
march 23rd and 30th 2013
02 arena
there will be no Brooklyn and London shows in november
you cant always get what you want but if you try real hard
you get what you need

Either way, (in the grand scheme of things) it doesn't really matter. The fact of the matter is that plenty is coming our way over the next ten months, and hopefully beyond. What order it comes in makes no difference to me. Some patience will be required though, you are right about that.

Anyone can put anything on songkick. It's like wikipedia, except no one's paying attention. Those dates are not "booked."

I have.

"The shows are booked" = You don't know what you're talking about.

Wasnt Michael Jackson booked there just before he died? Wasn't Jimmy Page sort of hoping that the Led Zep show there would lead to more shows?

Just thinking that the O hasnt been all that kind to older acts who are trying to "get it together"confused smiley

Yeah, I think you're right. I was on the Barclay site looking at Neil Young tix and it seems like the place is fully booked at least 'til year end. Oh well...sad smiley

Other things of importance are happening in the world.

When Gazza confirms Stones dates, I try to muster up some genuine excitement.

Funny, I never have any problem mustering up some genuine excitement. probably because lots of lovely things have been given with plenty more on the way.

Keith himself say's "not till 2013"

Im telling you people it's not in Broklyn or London in november

Its march 2013 at the O2 arena in London on the 23rd and 30th---that is the strting line for the tour

and the tour is stopping at a "few" selected cities where they will do multiple shows at the same venue

MARCH 2013

That article is from March 2012. A lot can change in 6 months. And they have.

So the Stones will set up their stage, lighting and sound rig etc, play a show and let it all sit there idly for a week while they twiddle their thumbs and nothing else can be booked at the O2, therefore the arena loses money. That doesn't make any sense. Or the Stones pay the arena for a week's worth of time. That doesn't make sense. Or, they set up their show, play, tear down and load into trucks and leave them parked in a lot for a week and then set up again? That doesn't make sense either.

You're right. Just like all that you've said. It's all convenient for you to change your tune as it (does not) go along.

There will be a full scale tour. Remember the VooDoo Lounge tour? The fire breathing big snake? This time there will be an actual Gorilla from the San Diego Zoo that will make a guest appearance and do backup vocals for the song Rocks Off!

Grrrr!!!

I think that's pretty close, Chris.

I envision the stage to look more like this. You can barely see the band at the lower-left.

Edith - Gorilla reminds me of Nancy Grace. More importantly, I think the Saints are going to put the beatdown on Panthers! I need for Welker & B. Lloyd to destroy the Cards! Fantasy Football is serious. Smack talk at work is bothersome.
