I remember they sold the Singapore and Hong Kong shows on short notice like 2-3 weeks only. They can sell out anything in 1-2 days so they don't need one year advance sales. The lead time this time around will be even shorter. Be prepared to change your plans when they are ready. That is if you book a lot of stuff way ahead.

....they can sell out anything in 2-3 days?.......hmmmmmmm.....got a funny feeling about that one.....hope it's just a little gas but.......hmmmmmm...i'm just saying.....er...that could be a little baseless optimism....not really feeling/hearing a lot of 'Stones hype for something big!' from anyone except folks on fansites....rest of society strangely silent...once again: Hmmmmmm...

Personally, I think Mick was winding everyone up with that 'later this year' quote.

I'll be amazed if the Stones play any shows in 2012.

That´s wishful thinking - if you mean arenas or even stadiums.

Düsseldorf and Hamburg weren´t sold out by far in 2007.

Depending on the market and arena size they can sell quickly. I hope I am very wrong but I don't there will be a big tour, more like just playing some major markets at big prices.

ABB Tour could not sell out a 40,000+ stadium that used to host 2 shows a tour, and sell out both...and Toronto is a pretty big population center.

They cannot fill stadiums anymore. They have milked the cows from 1989 till 2007.

I felt that would have been the obvious retort, so once I realized that, I also realized I needed to neutralize you quickly.

as stimulating as it was.

I was toying with, "you don't bovine me anymore", but that just felt a bit forced.

Certain people here have been telling us to prepare for shows since 2010. Eventually they will be right - or not.

Historically they have announced tours in the early Spring putting them on sale in May, or so, for shows that begin as early as the first days of August. There won't be a tour. That's pretty obvious. There MIGHT be one-off appearances but I'd wager that's it.

The normal routine is to announce a tour 1-3 months before its premiere. But by then I guess arenas are booked and most of the buildup is already done. So if the buildup is on, someone on this forum should already know. You can't withhold information for any length of time within an organization.
