Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has been giving some advice to One Direction.

The 64-year-old musician thinks the lads could become bigger than The Stones and The Beatles.

Ronnie told the Daily Mirror: "I've taken them under my wing.

"I'm so pleased for them getting that number one in America."

Wood first met Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan at a magazine party last year.

He told the boyband that he would love to play guitar with them.

Niall tweeted: "Great night at GQ dinner! met Ronnie Wood, he said we gotta jam on stage sometime.i was like what the !! what an absolute legend /hero!"

Harry added: "Just shared a brief embrace with Ronnie Wood. He smelt like 29 Studio albums, 10 live albums and rich mahogany."

To be honest I´ve misread thread´s title as
"I´ve taken One Direction under my wig".

A boyband...under his wing,hmm...

Think: What did all those Muddy Waters fans feel seeing him joining in with some boygroup mates from The Rolling Stones in the Checkerboard Lounge 1981 ... ?

Through his association with them, Woodie's also cultivating the next generation of young women, because you know that sooner or later that 34 year old he's with at the moment will eventually be too old for him... Is it possible that Woodie has been taken under Bill Wyman's wing?

Maybe the same they thought back in 1978 when Charlie and Bill popped up...

If they've already had a number one in America, why would they want to be under Ronnies wing?

If Ronnie´s taking you under his wing you ask no questions.
Anyway,I´ll stick to the Wingless Angels...
