Aren't you about due for another one of your epic "farewell" threads?

Every. Single. T-shirt. Says. 19. 62.
The date simply doesn't matter. I wouldn't say July 12th is D-day, but that if a tour/date/plans isn't announced by the end of this year, we don't have much of a hope for actual live gigs. The fact that they played together in NYC, be it for a documentary (which they should have hired me to shoot), or for actual rehearsals/warming up for the studio, should be encouraging.
I agree with you that we are near the end. I think they have a few gigs left in them..

I agree completely.
For me there's the Stones and then everyone else. I like a ton of music, but the Stones will always be my favorite. But my favorite band hasn't really been a band for the past 5 years.
I would love for them to dig deep, put out a KILLER album, do a few MAJOR concerts and call it a day. Invite every guest star they want, broadcast every show online, sellout/partner with every major company possible to make as much money as possible... And then call it a day.
From a business perspective I am ALL ABOUT them making as much money on this 50th anniversary celebration as possible, and we all know Jagger is currently plotting it. The ONLY question we really have as fans is whether Keith is up to it.
My wife has never seen the boys live and I hope to have the chance to take her to a real Stones show and not just seeing Live In Texas 78 in the theater!

How do you know it? Mick is silent, and the ONLY question we really have as fans is what's on his mind

Hell-in-the-hell is Keith (with retarded fcuked fingers) going to play something as easy as an open E chord? The man has no pride, no integrity! Faking it, trying to make it! The fan's should make their own announcement and say, "..hey cock, you're fired!" Come on, man, own up! You're done!

I have decided to go out on the limb here and make a prediction. July 12, 2012 is the official recognized 50th birthday of the Rolling Stones. It also marks the beginning of the 50th anniversary year which runs through July 11, 2013. What better day is there to announce your plans for your 50th anniversary year? There isn't one!
It is hard for me to imagine that Mick would not take advantage of this golden opportunity and schedule a press conference to announce whatever plans the band has for their 50th anniversary year. Unless, of course, there are no future plans. Yes, I think July 12, 2012 is "D" Day!
The troubling side of this prediction is that if July 12 arrives and all we get is the book release and a few million birthday wishes, but no press conference, then I am almost certain we have seen the last of the Rolling Stones.
