I'd agree that it does look a bit after that date, but '75 was the tour where they rehearsed at Warhol's place in Montauk - so if thats where your friend says the pic comes from, it would appear to be spring '75.
She had a number one album and single by early '75.
The hairstyle looks '75-'77 to me, as does the outfit.

She was popular but i dunno - hasten down the wind is when she really got monstrously big- 1976 - and jagger's hair tells the story - this was him in late 1974 - i don't think it was ever shorter until after the 75 tour - anyway, i think i will have the actual date it was shot really soon- stay tuned

C, he must've cut his hair somewhere in there. I have those pics too of him with long hair; at the 5th Ave announcement he has long hair. But here it is noticeably shorter. I think Jagger was up in Montauk for a longer time than the rest of the band. And at the Alamo photos ( about 6-8 weeks later?) it is also just a bit longer than the pic in OP.

Late April/early May 1975, then as they were there for that tours rehearsals.

ya think? jagger's hair i so much shorter than the '75 sessions - i know they were at todd's place in woodstock for '78 - but i thought they may have popped in for another little session in the later 70s - i will have the answer, i think, soon enough -
trivia - when i interned at utopia video, todd's studio in the late 1979s, early 80s, his caretaker (one of them) was the girl who posed nude in front of the stones in 69 at steven stills' house

okay - update - the archivist told me that it is 1975 - working on locking on a specific date - mystifies me - this just seems hard to peg in that year, but hey, just when ya think ya know everything....
