On this date in 1963, The Rolling Stones started a Sunday night residency at The Station Hotel in Surrey, England. The Stones were paid £24 for the gig ($41) and played on the first night to 66 people.

24 pounds or 41 USD, how much is that in Yugoslavian Dinars?

Cool gig. I wonder if they kept their amp(s) there or carried them back each night with Stu's truck?

41USD in 1963 is equivalent to about 98USD in 2012 adjusting for inflation.
Still a modest night.

I wonder how long the set was?

peace
