Vox are great amps, even today when they are Korg.

Yeah, points of interest often fall short for the experts but it's probably already too long for the casual viewer.

do you have some pointers where they got the facts wrong?

This was a great watch............as a casual viewer to short imo.

I have never liked Vox tube amps. Dull, dark, no sparkle, no treble. They made some nice solid state amps though.

rather creamy here;

They made the AC30TB for a reason.

Doesn't matter, great amps.

But is that the amp you're hearing or the boost pedal he's using...

I know that legendary records have been made with this amp, but they just never worked for me at all.

He's using only the amp, no pedals involved
at least that's what he says in the description.

Seek out Vox Amplifiers - The JMI Years for far more detailed and informative reading... 12 years of research and writing and even then it has some wonky facts.

The real Vox story is a long and messy story!!! The real truth shall never be known, much like the real story of The Rollng Stones.

Wow yeah, that sure looks like an interesting book.
now I know what to look out for.

The History for Hire Press has just published Vox Amplifiers: The JMI Years by Jim Elyea. Twelve years in the making, it is a very big book, and I’m not just talking about its physical size—although at 9.5 x 12 inches and 682 pages, it’s no slight thing in that regard either. In terms of what this book achieves, it may be even bigger than its outsized proportions can convey. In these pages is a seemingly endless array of pictures detailing every aspect of Vox history, familiar and unfamiliar, along with an engrossing narrative and meticulous documentation. Interspersed throughout are charts, sidebars and illustrations, and a running item called “Setting the Record Straight,” in which Elyea clears up many popular myths with the information he dug up in his years of searching. Laudably, he is never reticent about what he could not verify. Oh yes, there’s also plenty of gear porn.

Strat->Treble Booster->Vox AC30 was used by Ritchie Blackmore quite a few times.
