crawdaddyJust heard it mentioned by Johnny Walker on his radio program saying how much Robin would have hated all the publicity about his illness.Let's hope the media leaves him and his family alone.
Could be. But Robin also did a tv appearance a couple of weeks ago after just getting out of hospital. He looked alarmingly gaunt and ill. Surely he realised that people would notice and be concerned.
A lot of us grew up with the Bee Gees music and really love them. I hope Robin beats this.
I was just playing his song "Come On Over" (as recorded by Olivia Newton-John when she was in her country phase) and how bloody perfect is that song - perfectly balanced and composed, you get the emotional build-up with each chorus and a big pay-off at the end. Damn! Those Gibbs can write as well as sing and produce like mofos.
I think it was Robin who was the primary writer on "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart." I could be wrong, I'm just going by his style. Also the forgotten Yvonne Elliman hit from '76 "Love Me" - that was Robin for sure.
