Read about his passing yesterday. Back in the mid-'60's, the hit "Talk, Talk" by the Music Machine was a killer tune and ahead of its time. Bonniwell was the writer and vocalist. The band wore all black and had a gritty, kind of punkish sound. I once saw them preform at a big exhibition center in Los Angeles. It was not a concert per se, but they were a sort of side-show and there were about 5 of us watching them from just a few feet away. They were very tight and had a great sound. I was intrigued also by the black gloves they wore. I still like "Talk, Talk".
