A Guide To Reducing Your Anxiety Regarding The Rolling Stones
Posted by: stonescrow ()
Date: November 26, 2011 23:18

PLEASE TRY TO STOP TAKING EVERYTHING SO LITERAL! Just remember Keith's words: "Nothing is supposed to be clear. It's intended to be murky so you don't know what the hell's going on until we let you know".

Try to remember that most of what happens involving the Stones has been scripted by Mick and Keith. They have co-authored the greatest soap opera in the history of entertainment. Yes, and that includes Keith's book and all of the remarks about Mick that have had so many "up in arms" on this forum since it's release. It also includes some of Ronnie's "antics" with the young women that have made the headlines and evening news in recent years. Just a little "wink" to give the impression that the Stones are still the "bad boys" of their youth.

Yes, I myself, had fallen prey to Rolling Stones Tour Foreplay. I was so disgusted with Ronnie and his antics, and Keith's remarks about Mick, that I was just about ready to jump ship. But I had a revelation! Suddenly, it became obvious to me that these guys were just winking at us. And, that their pre-tour/event tactics were very much like their concert tactics. Where the fan is taken on an emotional roller coaster ride of ups and downs before finally being sent through the roof!

I now can sit back, relax, and just enjoy the show, knowing that eventually they will all come together and make sweet music once again. It's rough justice on us, but you *should* know, that they will never break our hearts.

Who's got "anxiety" over/about The Rolling Stones? Is that some kind of joke? Why is everyone, well, StonesCrow, overreacting?

You can't increase "it" if you don't (already) have "it" right?

Set it and forget it.

Wait. What?

Ahhh ...this is true....& according to Alice

Mad Hatter: Would you like a little more tea?
Alice: Well, I haven't had any yet, so I can't very well take more.
March Hare: Ah, you mean you can't very well take less.
Mad Hatter: Yes. You can always take more than nothing.

Please don't be. No hardcore fan that posts here should be confused. Now, the casual fan and the media? That is a different story. The Stones don't want their hardcore fan base confused. They want you to know they are winking at you. At least that is the way I see it.

Certainly not a majority, but it seems that many are down on Keith since his book was released.

Also, many still do not believe we will ever see them perform live again because of the so called rift between Mick and Keith.

How cool would a camping trip with Keith be? I can see us all now gathered around the campfire telling rock 'n roll tales.

Reduce your anxiety by finding some other music to work into the rotation with Brussels, Live in Texas, the Some Girls set, Ladies and Gentlemen, and Exile. Read a book. Plant a rock garden. Play an instrument.

A camping trip with Keef sounds like a forest fire waiting to happen. Smokey the Bear would be aghast.

I am now on my winter meds. Red wine. Always switch from beer to wine the day after Halloween. Switch back to beer on Memorial Day.

Anxiety about the Stones? The last time I experienced that was in 1981 when I wondered how I would get tickets to the hastily-announced Sun Devil Stadium show. I have anxiety about my business, the world economy, my weight, but about the Stones? I never thought they'd play another note after Dirty Work, so it's all been icing on the cake. Sometimes really tasty icing, sometimes not, but icing still...

In leap years when the Stones are touring I drink champagne for breakfast on the morning of each concert.
