Put it this way: sometimes things are best left alone. iMO, I think much of "Metamorphosis" is dreck ... studio musicians don't make good makeshift Stones.
Geez..colonial, I almost have forgotten that thread of mine I posted yesterday ......How do you do to remember all the threads you post on iorr ?

It could be an explanation for our numerous posts .
The lead vocalist in this group was the late Paul Young, later in both Sad Cafe & Mike and The Mechanics.
The Groovies' covers were often maligned as mimicry, but I felt they always brought a high energy to the table that at the least made their versions worthwhile, and in some instances (IMO) superior. They do a decent "Paint it Black" and "Blue Turns to Grey" as well.
Does the "Teenage Head" LP count as a Stones cover....?

The worst for sure ....
Electronic cover of “Under My Thumb.” We feel like we’re at an ’80s all night dance rave and we need glitter. While the original version sounds like backwood blues, La Roux’s version is quite shiny and straight out of the club.

My 12 years old daughter told me something like " If the Black Eyed Peas do a cover of the Rolling Stones ,it means they like the Rolling Stones "

Haha.. I am still laughin Sway. That hair.. LOl. Why do synth people always have to do these ridiculous poofs in their gel hair?
The worst - this early morning someone had a link up to some bad covers. There was a Spanish group doing "Paint it Black". I don't know where the link is, but that version was so wrong. You marvel.
