On twitter # is called a hashtag. And every Friday, people #FF others whom they feel worthy of being followed.

But people go # about anything I've seen. As in "Hey! I have a #flat tire on my #mountain bike!"

Makes no sense. It's just babble in front of something for no reason at all.

ohhh you mean like that phase quote marks were going through when i lived in New York:
"try" our coffee ~ avocados "only" 79 cents ~ elevator out of order, use "stairs"

the effect was "frequently" hilarious - i loved "it"

Not true at all. The more #'s a topic has - ie. #The Rolling Stones - the more likely the topic will enter the TRENDING topics. And all of us should type #The Rolling Stones on twitter in order for them to trend.

Get it now?smoking smiley

I agree, this twitter activity is a good sign of things to come,
it indicates that they are (may be) ramping up... for something.

I appreciate you being the IORR twitter person CE, it sure makes it easy, thanks. People may fight it to start with, but slowly they will start to understand the twitter concept. I tried starting a coversation about twitter a while back [www.iorr.org] but it was met with resistance, and then the topic was closed , oh well... anyway... thanks for doing this.... if/when the Stones do tour twitter will be part of it. They are not stupid.... they see how useful twitter is to other artist on tour.... from XXXXXX to XXXXXXX (artist which I dont care enough about to name)

Please keep us posted CE smiling smiley
