Artie Shaw married Ava Gardner among other beauties, and told the L.A. TIMES, "Women love a man in the spotlight. I think that's why I got those beautiful women. Look at Mick Jagger; do you think he's handsome?"

I always wondered what it would look like with an 85 year old playing rock and roll lol. What the hell was he doin on the guitar anyway? Looked like he spent the whole song trying to find the key it was in. Ah, what can you do, he's still around. It does look weird though, like someone's pulling a gag or something. Hail Hail what's left of rock and roll!!!

Thanks Naturalust and Happy24, this is really something I've always wanted...considering I don't make down to St. Louis to the Duck ROom too often...I really was hoping to get Chuck to sign it.
Somebody at the venue was kind enough to pass it back to Chuck after they found me waiting most of the day. It's crazy rare to have anyone from the venue help you out like that so I thought it was such a generous gesture. And it was MUCH appreciated :-)

Not to take anything away from Chuck, but there's some real brutes up there with him, and it looks planned to me. Since you were there Justin, what's your take, was Chuck truly "mobbed", or was it staged?
And you do realize they probably just got a janitor or someone to sign your album, don't you ><.

Far more interesting than a pensioner trying to recreate note-for-note studio versions decades later (step forward Paul McCartney!).

I was at that show. Drove from LA. Good show. Chuck had some lyric trouble but all in all it was great to see him again. I've said it in past reviews and I'll say it again. Going to see Chuck is like visiting family....you love him, you're thereto see him and you always leave pleased that you came. Had a chance to say hi to CBII---real nice guy. The band played great.
Cool moment...Chuck and Charles switched axes and Chuck strapped on a Fender. Real cool to see and hear!
And of course, I had to try to get a special souvenir...and scored big time. Yet another that's going straight up on the wall. THANK YOU CHUCK!
Some pics...
